We, Hege and Pål, are established in Sortland with children, grandchildren and companies. We have always been involved in trade, with people and service. Hege's family is from Øksnes and we've had Smines Rorbu since the early 1980s.

At Smines we had a boat and we were quickly attracted to the islands in Øksnes and the tranquillity it gave us. Over the years, we've been guests at Skipnes as often as we could. Both privately and on business trips. When we were offered the chance to buy a plot of land, we jumped at the chance and the idea of Skipnes Event took root.

Skipnes Ferievilla was completed in 2019, at the same time as Hege was running Fiskeværet Skipnes. "We saw a need for other types of accommodation, as well as a need for boat transport, sightseeing and fishing trips. We also wanted others to have the opportunity to experience how fantastic this area is.

We now offer stays in our High-end Villa in Skipnes, customised for each individual guest group. We try to solve all possible challenges and wishes that our guests have, and we do our utmost to ensure that our guests have the best possible stay with us.
